From simple repairs or adjustments, to complete overhauls, Brodie is uniquely qualified to offer high quality services for any budget.
Cassette and print unit overhaul specialists
- Extensive inspection completed upon arrival
- Complete disassembly of unit.
- Parts cleaned, polished, and/or painted.
- Damaged parts repaired or replaced.
- Frames tested for cracks
- Frames are line-bored in horizontal boring mills and honed to size.
- Frames are painted and prepped for installation of cylinders.
- Bearing housings/eccentrics are inspected for wear/damage .
- Worn ID's and OD's are reconditioned back to spec or finished oversize to fit new oversized frame bores.
- New housings can be supplied, if required.
- Cylinders fully inspected after being removed from unit.
- Cylinder reconditioning in stainless steel, chrome, ceramic, etc.
- Crushed of broken gaps restored, machined, and ground to specification
- Bent journals repaired; broken journals replaced.
- New bearers supplied and installed.
- Bodies and bearers ground in bearings to ensure concentricity
- Full cylinder inspection before being assembled back into unit.
- Unit reassembled with reconditioned cylinders, housings, along with new bearings and seals
- All parts are check for proper adjustments
- Complete final inspection to check for runout, parallelism between cylinders, pressure settings, and side registration movement.
